subchondral lucency with detached sclerotic osteochondral fragment of the right femoral head
subchondral lucency area of the left femoral head with surrounding rim of sclerosis. No falttening of deformity of the femoral head
Case Discussion
CT features of bilateral avascular necrosis of the hips stage III on the right and stage II on the left according to Ficat and Arlet classification.
In non-traumatic cases, avascular necrosis of the hip (AVN) is mostly bilateral in 70-80% of cases (as in this case).
