Axillary nerve sheath tumor

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Slowly growing lump in left axilla for eight months. Occasional tingling in left fingers for one month.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Solid lesion was noted in left axilla, away from axillary tail. Lesion was noted in close proximity of vascular bundle. Nerve broadening is noted at proximal and distal ends of the lesion suggesting the diagnosis of a nerve sheath tumor. 

Case Discussion

MRI was done later suggesting similar findings (images not available). No surgical confirmation because surgeon decided not to touch the lesion.
