Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

CT venous phase

As an incidental finding in this study there is contrast remaining in the azygos vein, delineating the valve present halfway along the azygos arch. On a first glance, this might be mistaken for a calcified nodule. Note the tricuspid aspect of this venous valve on the coronal image.
