Azygos continuation with left sided inferior vena cava

Azygos vein is dilated, and azygos continuation of the inferior vena cava is present accompanied by left sided IVC.
There is a 28 mm diverticulum at the medial aspect of the third portion of the duodenum.
The uterus and ovaries are not seen because of prior resection.
In imaged portions of the lower neck, the thyroid gland is enlarged and contains several nodules.

Azygos continuation of the inferior vena cava also known as the absence of the hepatic segment of the IVC with azygos continuation is an uncommon vascular anomaly and is a cause of a dilated azygos vein.
