Chest pain.

Age: 75-year-old

The left-sided no wire pacing device is in situ. Cardiomediastinal contours are unremarkable. Azygos fissure is noted in the right apex. Lungs and pleural space are clear. No pneumothorax or subphrenic free gas.

Case Discussion

This case illustrates an accessory fissure surrounding a portion of the right upper lobe, the Azygos fissure, an anatomical variant present in ~1% of the population.
