Sagittal T2WI shows fluid signal intensity between spinous processes of L3 & L4 vertebrae associated with subchondral sclerosis in inferior aspect of L3 spinous process and osteophyte protruding into the posterior aspect of spinal canal, findings are in keeping with baastrup syndrome.
other findings are L4/L5 & L5/S1 disc dehydration and posterior protrusions.
