Presentation

Non-traumatic swelling on posterior aspect of knee - 2 - 3 months.

Patient Data

Age: 6 yrs
Gender: Male
X-ray

Soft tissue swelling at the posterior knee compartment

Ultrasound

Ultrasound shows a well-defined cystic lesion with echoes at typical location of popliteal cyst. No leak is noted at distal end of the lesion. 

The popliteal vessels are patent.

Case Discussion

Findings favor Baker's cyst.
