Case Discussion
Heterotopia, a congenital condition resulting from abnormal neuronal migration of the gray matter, and classified into subependymal, subcortical, and band types of heterotopias.
This case demonstrated a typical appearance of diffuse band heterotopia or also known as "double cortex" in certain literature.
The patient's symptoms range from normal to mental retardation, which may relate to the thickness and involvement of the cortical region.
