The salivary gland adenomas are divided into pleomorphic adenoma and monomorphic adenoma. Basal cell adenomas are defined as a subtype of monomorphic adenomas. Basal cell adenomas are rare benign salivary gland tumors that usually involve the parotid gland in adults.
