Presentation

Previous left occipital infarct. Was diagnosed with transient ischemic attack related for posterior circulation (Ataxia and unsteadiness).

Age: 66
Gender: Male

There are some narrowing along distal vertebral arteries (V4 segment) and an important narrowing in middle portion of basilar artery (>70%).

Case Discussion

The MRA shows multiple stenosis points on vertebrobasilar system. Posterior circulation stroke accounts for 20-25% of ischemic strokes 1.
