An elongated left liver lobe extends laterally to contact and often surrounds the spleen.
Case Discussion
"Sliver of liver" is one of the anatomical variations of the liver. Another name of this variation is "beaver tail liver". In this variation, the liver extends to the spleen. There isn't any symptom in most cases, and this is an incidental finding. This variation is more common in females.
