Benign oesophageal stricture

There is short segment stricture with tapering at the proximal of the cervical oesophagus causing contrast media stasis upstream.
A small size hiatal hernia is observed.
Case Discussion
Regarding patient history, futures on barium study are most consistent with a benign oesophageal stricture.
The endoscopic evaluation confirmed proximal oesophageal stricture without evidence of tumoural infiltration, and the biopsy of the stricture site showed fibrous tissue without signs of malignancy.
