A focal short-segment stricture is noted in the upper part of the thoracic esophagus without marginal irregularity and shouldering. The contrast medium passed distal to the stricture site, and the pharynx and other parts of the esophagus appeared normal.
In addition, a small-sized sliding hiatal hernia is evident.
Case Discussion
Futures on barium study are most consistent with a benign esophageal stricture.
