Case contributed by Dr Mohammad Taghi Niknejad

Ultrasonography evaluation suggested uterine anomaly.

Patient Data

Gender: Female

The uterus shows two separated cervical canals and two endometrial cavities. A small cleft along the fundus gives the uterus a heart-shaped external contour. In addition, a hypointense septum is seen in middle and proximal portions of the vagina.

Case Discussion

Features are consistent with bicornuate bicollis uterus which is a type of uterine duplication anomaly. It can be classified as a class IV Mullerian duct anomaly.
