A bicornuate uterus is a Mullerian duct fusion abnormality where there is incomplete fusion of the segment of the mullerian duct which develops into the uterus, which results in a uterus with two horns. The diagnosis of bicornuate uterus is important as it is associated with infertility, recurrent pregnancy losses and malpresentation.
