Incidental finding on CTA chest post bicycle accident.

Patient Data

Age: 25
Gender: Male

Bilateral accessory renal arteries are noted as an incidental finding. 

Case Discussion

Accessory renal arteries are a common finding, being present in ~30% (range 25-50%) of autopsy series and most commonly arise from the aorta. 

Typically, accessory renal arteries course towards the hilum and supply an upper or lower pole.
