G2P1 at 20 weeks gestation. Routine ultrasound.

Bilateral choroid plexus cysts - antenatal
Ultrasound
The selected ultrasound images show small rounded well-defined cysts of the choroid plexus of the lateral ventricles, measuring (7 mm) on the right and (9 mm) on the left.
No other associated fetal anomalies suggestive of aneuploidy.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound feature of bilateral choroid plexus cysts with no associated fetal anomalies (isolated cysts). They generally disappear by 26-28 weeks in utero and are of no significance in most cases. If there are other associated abnormalities or high risk for aneuploidy, amniocentesis is recommended.
