Bilateral delayed nephrogram from renal artery stenosis

Difficult to control hypertension.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

High-grade bilateral renal artery stenoses with delayed nephrograms, more so on the right. Extensive atherosclerosis. Calcified liver lesion most likely represents a chronic hydatid cyst.

Case Discussion

Atherosclerosis, as seen in this case, is the most common cause of renal artery stenosis, which can lead to secondary hypertension.
