Bilateral painless swelling of the infrascapular regions.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

Bilateral ill-defined soft tissue masses at the infrascapular regions, located deep to latissimus dorsi and serratus anterior musculature. They elicit an isosignal to the muscles on T1, iso-to low signal on T2 with moderate heterogeneous enhancement on the postcontrast sequence.

Case Discussion

MRI features most consistent with elastofibromas dorsi, which are bilateral in 30% of cases (as in this case).
