Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

Fetal origin of bilateral posterior cerebral arteries is seen. Basilar artery appears mildly reduced in caliber with no obvious hemodynamically significant stenosis, likely secondary to bilateral fetal origin posterior cerebral arteries.

A1 segment of left anterior cerebral artery is not well visualized, likely
hypoplastic (anatomical variant).

Bilateral internal carotid arteries are dolichoectatic.

Case Discussion

The above findings are all anatomical variants and are unlikely to be related to patient's clinical symptoms.
