Presentation

Pain and deformity of both wrists.

Patient Data

Age: 13 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

There is bilateral gross deformity of both wrists.There is failure of ossification of the ulnar side of the radius. Bilateral positive ulnar variance is noted. There is bilateral herniation of the proximal carpal bones with wedging of the lunate between the radius and ulnar. Findings are consitent with Madelung deformity.

There was no history of trauma in this case.
