Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Lower abdominal pain, history of renal stones. Soft abdomen without tenderness on clinical examination.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Multiple calcified variable-sized shadows are seen in both kidneys indicating medullary nephrocalcinosis.

ultrasound

Both kidneys are of normal size, both renal pyramids are echogenic with acoustic shadows, supporting the findings of the KUB.
No signs of intracalyceal or intrapelvic stones or back-pressure changes.
