Bilateral optic neuritis

Bilateral swelling of the retrobulbar intra orbital segment of the optic nerves mainly on the left of high signal on T2 and T2 fat sat with enhancement on postcontrast sequences well demonstrated on axial and coronal T1 fat sequences with associated inflammatory changes of the intraconal fat.
Normal appearance of the optic chiasma.
No demyelinating lesions were seen at the posterior cerebral fossa or supratentorial level.
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and the MRI features are most consistent with bilateral optic neuritis.
