Two 65 × 38 mm and 70 × 55 mm well-defined masses are seen at right and left adnexa, respectively, which contain fat density components and small foci of calcification.
An IUD is present within the uterine cavity in appropriate station.
Case Discussion
Typical appearance of bilateral ovarian dermoid cysts.
Typically CT images demonstrate fat, fat-fluid level, calcification, Rokitansky protuberance, and tufts of hair. The presence of most of the above tissues is diagnostic of ovarian dermoid cysts in 98% of cases.
