Pain of both hips at 32 weeks of gestation. Pain aggravated by getting up, sitting down and getting up. Currently postpartum.

Bilateral bone marrow edema in the head and neck femur with modest joint effusion.
Case Discussion
Transient osteoporosis of the hip usually occurs in the third trimester of pregnancy with gradual onset of groin pain. The most serious complications are fractures.
