On MRI, cystic enlargement or ectasia of multiple small tubules of the testicular network looks like a hyperintensive T2, hypointensive T1, without restriction of diffusion. There is no gain after internal injection.
Case Discussion
General information: it represents the expanded tubules of the mediastinum of the testicle. This condition is more common in men over the age of 55. It is often bilateral, often combined with a spermatocele, and may result from vasectomy.
Method of choice: high-resolution ultrasound (>7.5 MHz).
Treatment and prognosis: this is a benign finding with no known clinical consequences.
