Bilateral ureteric stents.
Large volume left sided renal stone disease.
Calcified uterine fibroids.
Case Discussion
Ureteric stent insertion may be performed by a retrograde route ( urologist ) or antegrade route ( radiologist ).
The former is with a combination of endscopy and fluroscopy, the later with fluroscopy alone.
Renal stone disease and malignancy are 2 common indications for their placement.
