Multiple gallstones in gallbladder measuring less than 3.0 mm.

Case Discussion

The term ‘biliary microlithiasis’ was coined to describe gallstones of <3 mm in diameter. 

Some data show that small gallstones carry a higher risk of causing pancreatitis than large ones 1.
