Bipartite patella

The patella is made of two components with the smaller accessory one being at its lateral margin (type II bipartite patella according to H Saupe classification). A bursa is seen filled on the anterolateral aspect of the lower femoral condyle. Associated mild synovial joint effusion is seen.
