Case contributed by Paresh K Desai
Diagnosis not applicable

Patient Data

Age: Adult
Gender: Female
mammography

A homogeneous density with lobulated margins is noted.

ultrasound

A round, hypoechoic, circumscribed lesion with no definite posterior acoustic enhancement.

Case Discussion

Correlation between ultrasound and mammogram is always useful.

The ultrasound does not show all the features of a fibroadenoma, thus the lesion favors the BIRADS IV category.
