Screening breast mammography. Last mammography 4 years before.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Mammogram demonstrates a left sided hyperdense, spiculated mass located in the lower outer quadrant. 


Irregular, spiculated hypoechoic mass that is taller than wider with posterior shadowing, highly vascular on color Doppler.

Case Discussion

Mammogram and ultrasound findings are typical of a BIRADS V mass. No personal or familial history of breast cancer.
