Bisphosphonate related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ)

Jaw pain.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Left mandibular teeth remaining only. Irregular right inferior alveolar ridge with mixed lucency and sclerosis. 

Case Discussion

This patient has a history of bisphosphonate use. BRONJ is also known as MRONJ (medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw) as many medications are now known to causes jaw osteonecrosis.
