Bowing of the left leg.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female

The frontal view demonstrates an abnormal left knee with:

  • tibial shaft is in the varus position "tibia vara"
  • decreased thickness with a wedge-shaped of the medial tibial epiphysis
  • depressed adjacent medial tibial metaphyses with a beak-shape protuberance
  • compensatory hypertrophy of the medial femoral condyle
  • the metaphyseal-diaphyseal angle of Drennan was at 30º
