Air-fluid level in the right maxillary antrum associated with a "tear drop" arising from the orbital floor consistent with prolapsed orbital content

Case Discussion

CT is the investigation of choice, but radiographs are still performed and can provide reasonable analysis. However, CT is still necessary if X-rays are abnormal to determine extent of the fracture, and whether there is just fat or inferior rectus trapped in the fracture.
