Patient Data

Age: 4 years
Gender: Female

There is a relatively well-defined lytic expansile lesion seen at the proximal metadiaphyseal region of the left humerus with a narrow zone of transition and a thin sclerotic margin with features of a unicameral bone cyst. The lesion is associated with cortical interruption and periosteal reaction denoting an associated pathological fracture.

Case Discussion

Unicameral bone cyst is a common benign osteolytic lesion of immature skeleton. It is usually asymptomatic, but may become painful if complicated with a pathological fracture.
