Presentation
Left thigh pain and swelling
Patient Data
This x-ray demonstrates several lytic lesions in the left femur. The largest lesion located at the junction of middle and lower third of the femoral shaft with significant destruction of the cortex.
Patient went on to have prophylactic pinning of his Lt femur
This x-ray demonstrates that the intramedullary nail and screw are in place with no evidence of periprosthetic fracture. Hip and knee alignment are anatomical.
Case Discussion
This patient has a known history of NSCLC with bone and brain metastasis. Given the history of malignancy and appearance of the lytic lesions, these are in keeping with bone metastasis.
