Case Discussion
Care must be taken when dismissing change as chronic small vessel ischaemia, and evidence for cortical infarction should be sought. In this case the pattern of cortical involvement suggested a borderzone (watershed) infarct and a CTA confirmed the presence of a high grade left sided stenosis.
