History of fall in bathroom denies history of assault, on examination no open wound, swelling and tenderness on the right 5th metacarpal head area.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

A fracture through the neck of the right fifth metacarpal is noted, with palmar angulation.

Case Discussion

This case illustrates the typical appearance of a boxer fracture, but the patient claimed that he fell in the bathroom and there was no history of assault.
