Pain to the ulnar border of hand. Says he fell on it.

Age: 11 years
Gender: Male

Transverse fractures of the 4th and 5th metcarpal metaphyses. Palmar angulation.

Case Discussion

This is the pediatric equivalent of the classic Boxer fracture. In this case, angulation makes the diagnosis very easy.

Subtle cases are made tricky because of the physis.
