Presentation

Known case of end stage renal disease presented with swelling of left arm after of attempt to catheterization via dialysis fistula

Patient Data

Age: 65-year
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Ultrasound demonstrates marked dilatation of the brachial artery with turbulent flow but no evidence of mural thrombus.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound scan demonstrate fusiform aneurysmal dilatation of brachial artery adjacent to the fistula with synthetic vein graft associated with large surrounding hematoma.There is thrombus in the synthetic vein graft as well.Findings  are in keeping with mycotic aneurysm of brachial artery.
