Early closure of bilateral coronal sutures giving the appearance of brachycephaly.
Open metopic suture. Sagittal and bilateral lambdoid sutures are also open.
Case Discussion
Craniosynostosis refers to the premature closure of cranial sutures. Brachycephaly (literally, "short head") results from a bicoronal and/or bilambdoid craniosynostosis.
