Young female with cadiopulmunary arrest

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
CT

There are white cerebellar sign and pseudosubarachnoid hemorrhage due to diffuse cerebral edema and venous congestion in effaced sulci. Decreased grey-white differentiation and swollen gyri with effacment of sulci and ventricles are seen.

Case Discussion

Definition of brain death is irreversible cessation of brain and brainstem functions and diagnostic criteria vary among countries. This patient was referred for organ transplantation.
