Presentation
Lactating mother. Left breast pain, swelling - 2 wks. C/o fever - few days. O/e - Local skin redness.

Age: about 25 yrs
Gender: Female
From the case:
Breast abscess
Breast parenchyma is nearly replaced by large bilobed collection.
There are flowing internal tiny echoes.
Smaller collection is in upper outer quadrant; measuring about 6 x 4 x 4 cm.
Larger collection occupies other three quadrants; measuring about 10 x 8 x 7 cm. It abutts pectoralis muscle.
There is a thick septa / parenchymal tissue between to collections.
A slit like ( 2 mm ) communication is noted.
Pectoralis major muscle is normal.
There are few non-necrotic, ovoid nodes in left axilla.

I & D done - Abscess.
