Presentation

Bilateral breasts palpable masses on physical exam.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
mammography

Patchy and dense asymmetric fibroglandular tissue is seen in both breasts.

Several partially obscured masses of different sizes can be seen in the breasts. Some lumps in the right breast are almost entirely calcified. Coarse calcification foci are also seen inside most of the remaining masses.

Case Discussion

Bilateral breast masses with coarse calcifications are most likely compatible with involuting/involuted fibroadenomas. (BI-RADS 2)
