Case Discussion

Breast lipomas are benign breast lesions that are classified as BIRADS II. Our patient was asymptomatic for 20 years before the diagnosis was made on a screening mammogram. The lesion is hypoechoic, isoechoic, and hyperechoic or heterogeneous in echogenicity. In a fatty breast, isoechoic tumors are sometimes more difficult to identify.
