Presentation

Large painless palpable mass in the left breast

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
mammography

A large mass with irregular and spiculated margin and internal course heterogenous calcification foci is seen in the left breast, which is highly suspicious for malignancy. (BI-RADS 5)

At least three small irregular masses are noted around the mass, inferring satellite lesions.

ultrasound

Targeted ultrasound of the left breast mass shows a large hetero-echo mass with irregular and angulated margin and internal calcification foci that cause adjacent parenchymal distortion. (BI-RADS 5)

Case Discussion

The patient underwent an ultrasound-guided left breast mass core needle biopsy, and histopathology evaluation and IHC confirmed triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma.
