Presentation

Screening mammography. Familial history of breast cancer in first-degree relatives.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female
mammography

A small mass with an irregular and spiculated margin is noted in the central part of the right breast, which causes surrounding parenchymal distortion. (BI-RADS 5)

ultrasound

On simultaneous ultrasound evaluation, an ill-defined hypo-echoic taller than wide mass with irregular margin is noted in the right breast suggesting highly suspicious of the malignancy. (BI-RADS 5)

Case Discussion

An ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy was performed for the right breast mass and histopathology evaluation confirmed invasive ductal carcinoma.
