Presentation

Persistent pain of the hip with limping.

Patient Data

Age: 17 years
Gender: Male
CT

Abnormally increase d density of the right femoral neck associated with central branching sinus-like tracks with and central nidus-like radiodensity heading towards the cortex medially.

Case Discussion

A 17-year-old boy with a long history of right hip pain with limping. CT images demonstrate branching sinus tracts of the right femoral neck, this branching appearance favors the uncommon Brodie abscess over osteoid osteoma.
