Broken jejunostomy catheter

Presentation

Pain at jejunostomy site during feeds.

Patient Data

Age: 25
Gender: Female
x-ray

Since the previous imaging of the jejunostomy tube has become fractured, with a break approximately 10 cm from the tip. The 2 ends of the tube remain closely applied, and may not be completely separated. No break or kink is seen within the gastrostomy tube.

The bowel gas pattern is normal, with no evidence of obstruction. No pneumoperitoneum.

Conclusion:
Broken jejunostomy tube.
