Cough and Fever.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Bilateral mid and lower zonal bronchiectatic changes much pronounced on the right side.

Both lower lobes and lingula segment of left upper lobe are subject to extensive cystic bronchiectasis. Some of the cysts show fluid levels others demonstrate thickened walls. Bronchoceles also evident which denoting mucus plugging and infection is supported by clinical presentation.

Bilateral apical pleural thickening.

Cystic bronchiectasis is a very severe form of bronchiectasis and it is common to be associated with fluid level, mucus plugging and infection.
